The circuit world gives gay men the chance to escape the pressures of day-to-day existence and enter an altered reality where friendship, dancing, and self expression are celebrated. It is not a community, but individuals searching for a community.  Many are attracted to the scene because of the empowerment they feel from being in an overtly gay environment.

There is an intense sense of camaraderie that, tied together with great music, great drugs and great sex, creates a dizzying world of beautiful men living for festivity.

When The Circuit comes to town, that town becomes an instant gay ghetto. This is a big part of the attraction of a circuit event. It allows for the opportunity to take over entire sections of a city, making the restaurants, hotels, and streets into queer spaces.
